Marshall County, Ohio is all set to get new apartment complexes at the onset of the establishment of a new cracker plant in the vicinity. The new plant will fetch a lot of people, mainly workers, in the area who would need decent living spaces. The apartments are expected to come in all shapes, sizes, and forms including used shipping containers.
High Cube Apartments, a pro in converting used steel shipping containers into swanky apartments, is building a number of fully furnished container houses in this region. The company recently finished building a housing complex with six large containers. These apartments are equipped with a kitchenette, an icebox, freezer, 60-inch TV, queen-sized bed, and a 4-foot shower. Each apartment will cost the renters about $800 a month, including water, cable, and other bills.
Scott Lehasky of High Cube Apartments informed that each container had cost him $3,400 and he plans to make a total of 54 units if the cracker plant comes up. As of now, the plant authorities have estimated the need of around 3,000 RV slots and 500 additional apartments once the plant becomes fully operational.
